刀剣乱舞 nendoroids~

Okay, first things first, what is Touken Rabu (刀剣乱舞) literally translates to Blades Dancing Wildly (according to the chinese characters)

Touken Ranbu (刀剣乱舞) is an online web browser game by DMM and Nitroplus. Players assume the role of a Saniwa sage (審神者) who travels into the past to defeat evil forces that are trying to change the course of history. As a sage, you have the ability to breathe life into inanimate objects, including famous historical swords. Your duty is to bring these blades to life, create an army, and defeat the enemies! (Basically Touken Ranbu is a gender-swapped clone of the game Kantai Collection, also by DMM, which anthropomorphizes historical warships as young girls.)

Anyone with interest in actually playing Touken Rabu, which I kind of am, should take a look at this.

Anyway, the point of this post is to mainly gush about the fact that I got my frigging hands on the Mikazuki Munechika nendoroid!! :D
Look, he is fucking adorable, okay.

So some backstory here, because I got into the nendoroid game late, I missed his preorder availability on the Good Smile Company online store, and at first I was like, oh, okay, he’s cute, but I guess I missed him and that’s okay? But then, I saw that they had a whole bunch of other Touken Ranbu nendoroids coming up, and my mind switched gears immediately to being all like, shit, now I need my jiji-san because then I can have a proper actual collection, right? right-o.

And thus the great hunt for Mikazuki Munechika began… and I noticed that it wasn’t possible to find him available for reservation anywhere, be it Japanese online stores or even local shops. I was desperate and I almost wanted to give up on getting him, because the only place I saw him available was at Play-Asia, retailing for approximately 90 bucks, and fuck, I’m into nendoroids, but 90 bucks without considering shipping? Sorry, old man. Guess this song will now be my theme tune:
I saw that he was being shipped out to stores from 31 August onwards, and well, I begun stalking my local shops, and lo and behold, after 5 days of going back and forth to check if stock has arrived, I got my jiji~ ♥♥♥♥♥

Anyway, to people who care, Mikazuki Munechika is famed for being one of the Five Great Swords of Japan, and the most beautiful one amongst them.

Since I’m collecting them all as they come out, here’s what I will be receiving over the long months of waiting because preordering is the only way I can sleep peacefully at night without wearing out my F5 key:
– 518 Kashu Kiyomitsu (Sept 2015)
– 525 Kogitsunemaru (Nov 2015)
– 540 Tsurumaru Kuninaga (Dec 2015)
– 557 Shokudaikiri Mitsutada (March 2016)
