Creamy milk chocolate bark studded with crushed cool peppermint candies, drizzled with a touch of dark and white chocolates. On cold sniff and initial application, Chocolate Peppermint Bark starts with a medley of chocolates, primarily milk chocolate, combined with a smooth peppermint top note. The peppermint gradually fades the longer the perfume wears on the skin allowing the chocolates to come to the foreground. After it has been on the skin for sometime, a faint hint of the milk chocolate resides amongst more dominant white chocolate and vanilla notes. A journey and a morpher!
Chocolate Peppermint Bark was originally part of Solstice Scents’ Winter Collection but has since been discontinued, probably because of the lack of available ingredients.
The peppermint is light and stays mostly in the background while the chocolate notes take centre stage. The chocolate is milky and creamy, with sprinkling of dark cocoa powder. I do kind of wish the peppermint aspect was stronger, since the chocolate is really quite sweet. The wear time is pretty decent, with around 3 hours or so, though the projection was just average. I didn’t find this to morph on me actually, or maybe I can’t really tell the difference between dark and white chocolate with my nose.
Tomorrow’s scent: Snowshoe Pass, also from Solstice Scents, is up already if you want to read it.
